Resolution authorizing an agreement with Securitas Technology, Fisher, Indiana, formerly Stanley Security, for the installation of a Key Tracking system for the Lake County Jail in the amount of $307,610.

Staff Summary
* As part of the Fiscal Year 2023 Facility Assessment Budget Process and Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, the Jail Key Tracking project was approved.
* There is a need for repeaters, receivers, key tracking tags, and software to be installed to ingrate with the existing PLC system to track detention keys for the Lake County Jail.
* Facilities identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Securitas, Fisher, Indiana, through Sourcewell to procure the installation that was competitively solicited and awarded.
* Pursuant to Chapter 33.115 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Joint Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants.
* The current term of the Sourcewell contract expires on April 22, 2025.
* This resolution authorizes the cooperative purchasing contract with Securitas, Fisher, Indiana in the amount of $307,610.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, there is a need for the purchase and installation of a Key Tracking system for the Lake County Jail; and

WHEREAS, Facilities identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Securitas Technology, Fisher, Indiana through Sourcewell to procure the replacement equipment that was competitively solicited and awarded; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.115 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Joint Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants; and
