Staff Summary
• The County is seeking grant funding for residents who don’t have computers or internet access who frequent County offices such as the Central Permitting Facility in Libertyville, Court and Administrative Complex in Waukegan, Veteran’s Assistance Commission in Gurnee, and the Workforce Development Office on the College of Lake County campus in Waukegan, to self-respond to the Census 2020.
• The purpose of the grant is to increase participation in the 2020 Census.
• The grant will fund 20 computer devices with internet access and promotional materials, such as fact sheets, posters, and postcards to increase the Census 2020 response rate.
