RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Lake County Libertyville Campus fuel facility, originally constructed in 1992, is at the end of its useful service life and needs to be replaced; and

WHEREAS, the County applied for grant funding through the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP); and

WHEREAS, the HBIIP is designed to increase significantly the sales and use of higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel by expanding the infrastructure for renewable fuels derived from U.S. agricultural products; and

WHEREAS, HBIIP grants support transportation fueling and fuel distribution facilities, lowering out-of-pocket costs to install or upgrade fuel dispensers, storage tanks and systems, and other related equipment; and

WHEREAS, the County is desirous to execute the required documentation and subsequent grant funding agreement stating the terms and conditions by which the USDA will provide a $110,000 grant to Lake County through the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program; and
