Joint resolution authorizing the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer to execute an agreement between Lake County and Bollinger, Lach & Associates, Inc., Itasca, IL for the provision of Phase I engineering services (Preliminary Engineering) for the proposed improvements to River Road (County Highway 4) at Roberts Road (County Highway 35) at a maximum cost of services described of $247,949.20. This resolution appropriates $175,000 of County Bridge Tax funds and $110,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for these engineering services designated as Section 07-00086-08-CH.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, River Road (County Highway 4) and Roberts Road (County Highway 35) are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of River Road at Roberts Road could be improved by widening and resurfacing and the installation of permanent traffic control signals or roundabout; and
WHEREAS, Phase I (Preliminary Engineering) studies are required for the proposed improvements to the intersection of River Road at Roberts Road; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a consultant engineering firm be employed to provide said Phase I engineering services (Preliminary Engineering); and
WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.); and
