R E S O L U T I O N
 
WHEREAS, Miller Road (County Highway 2) is a designated route on the County highway system; and
 
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Miller Road, 0.3 miles east of Illinois Route 59, could be elevated by the placement of a dry-land bridge with 3-spans to alleviate road flooding; and  
 
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has caused to be prepared preliminary plans and right-of-way plats, said plats identifying right-of-way needs; and
 
WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation, now needs to obtain title commitments, property appraisals, and pay other advance right-of-way costs associated with the proposed improvement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $30,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for title commitments, property appraisals, and other advance right-of-way costs associated with the proposed Miller Road dry- land bridge, 0.3 miles east of Illinois Route 59, and designated as Section 08-00118-09-BR.
