Staff Summary
* There is a need to provide ongoing technical and safety training for the workforce to be effective and safe. Training is provided on the use of specialized equipment, policy, and procedures while performing work in difficult environment, i.e., confined spaces and trenches.
* Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Conference Technologies, Inc. of Itasca, Illinois, through a Joint Purchasing contract.
* Pursuant to Article 33.115 Cooperative Joint Purchasing of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement.
* This resolution authorizes and directs the County Purchasing Agent to execute a contract with Conference Technologies, Inc, Itasca, Illinois, in the amount of $49,915.42 and $5,863.38 for technology equipment and services to furnish and install the Juvenile Depke Probation Training Room (3rd Floor, New Building).

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Juvenile Depke Probation Training Room (3rd Floor, New Building) is used for meetings/trainings, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to furnish and install audio/visual equipment in the Juvenile Depke Probation Training Room (3rd Floor, New Bldg); and
WHEREAS, ongoing technical and safety training for the workforce is essential to ensure effective and safe work performance; and
WHEREAS, Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Conference Technologies, Inc of Itasca, Illinois, through a Joint Purchasing contract; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 33.115 Cooperative Joint Purchasing of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement.
