RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, as part of the Rebuild Illinois Capital Bill, Lake County received a $518,000 grant to help fund the construction of a bike path as part of the Hainesville Road improvements from Washington Street to Rollins Road; and
WHEREAS, upon submittal of this grant application, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will prepare a grant agreement for receipt of these funds; and
WHEREAS, the draft grant agreement will be brought back to the Lake County Board for approval at a future meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the Lake County Engineer are authorized and hereby directed to apply to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a $518,000 grant to help fund construction of a bike path as part of the Hainesville Road improvements from Washington Street to Rollins Road, and designated as Section 19-00072-14-WR.
