R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Buffalo Grove Road, County Highway 16, from Deerfield Parkway to Main Street, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Buffalo Grove Road, from Deerfield Parkway to Main Street, could be improved with hot-mix asphalt patching; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of cost for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that $660,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds be hereby appropriated for the hot-mix asphalt patching on Buffalo Grove Road, from Deerfield Parkway to Main Street, and designated as Section 16-00249-04-RS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
