· The County plans to widen and reconstruct Peterson Road, west of IL Rte 83 to west of Alleghany Road, from two lanes to four lanes, with a landscaped barrier median and construct a bike path on the north side.
· Preliminary design engineering services for soil investigation, wetland delineation, preliminary environmental site assessment, surveying and preparation of plat of highways are needed.
· This resolution appropriates $125,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for these preliminary design engineering services and is designated as Section 10-00098-19-RP.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Peterson Road (County Highway 20) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Peterson Road from west of IL Rte 83 to west of Alleghany Road could be improved by widening and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the County plans to widen Peterson Road from two lanes to four lanes, with a landscaped barrier median and construct a bike path on the north side; and
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, at its meeting of November 10, 2010, authorized the execution of the Central Lake County Area Transportation Improvement Intergovernmental Agreement between Lake County and the Villages of Grayslake, Libertyville and Mundelein; and
