RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a Comprehensive and Accessible Reemployment through Equitable Employment Recovery (CAREER) Dislocated Worker Grant funding modification of $100,080.81 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, this grant will be used to provide employment and training services to eligible dislocated workers paying training wages, occupational training expenses and supportive services for the program period of December 1, 2021 through August 19, 2023; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $100,080.81 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $100,080.81 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant modification be accepted.
