· Memorandum of Understanding with the Lake County Transportation Alliance.
· Lake County and the LCTA have maintained a strong working relationship.
· Lake County’s Public Works and Transportation Committee recommended the County remain a member of the LCTA for the period of December 1, 2012, through November 30, 2013.
· Lake County will allocate financial resources and reasonable staff support to the LCTA for annual membership.
· This Memorandum of Understanding may be extended for three additional one year periods, subject to acceptable performance and mutually agreed upon terms.
· This resolution authorizes execution of the Memorandum of Understanding.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County and the LCTA have maintained a strong working relationship through the continued participation of County representatives on the LCTA Board, regular LCTA activity, and joint participation in studies in support of strategic transportation planning efforts; and
WHEREAS, Lake County’s Public Works and Transportation Committee recommended the County remain a member of the LCTA for the period of December 1, 2012, through November 30, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Lake County will allocate financial resources and reasonable staff support to the LCTA for annual membership; and
WHEREAS, this Memorandum of Understanding may be extended for three additional one year periods, subject to acceptable performance and mutually agreed upon terms; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the LCTA are desirous of entering into this Memorandum of Understanding, documenting the responsibilities of the County and the LCTA, a draft copy is attached hereto.
