R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Arlington Heights Road (County Highway 79) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the bridge deck beams of the bridge carrying southbound Arlington Heights Road over Buffalo Creek are at the end of their useful service life; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if said bridge deck beams could be replaced; and
WHEREAS, Phase I studies are required to utilize federal highway funds for the above-proposed improvements; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement to utilize federal highway funds for the above-proposed Phase I engineering services (Preliminary Engineering) setting forth the terms and obligations to each agency, a draft of copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chair of the Lake County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement and any subsequent amendments hereto, pertaining to the financing of the above-named improvement.
