Staff Summary
· The Public Works Department’s Administration Building in Libertyville requires replacement of exterior windows and doors which have been budgeted for replacement in FY 2009.
· The County solicited and received responsive bids from seven (7) contractors.
· Native Construction and Landscaping of Kansasville, WI submitted the lowest responsive responsible bid and has provided high quality work on similar projects with other agencies.
· Award of this contract is recommended to Native Construction and Landscaping in the amount of $73,800.

WHEREAS, the County of Lake owns and maintains the Public Works Administration Building in Libertyville; and
WHEREAS, the Administration Building is over 35 years old and requires rehabilitation including the replacement of the existing building windows and doors; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Rules of this County Board, bids were called for by publication for the Administration Building Window Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to twenty-one (21) contractors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., the bid prices were as follows:
