Resolution authorizing the creation of an Ad Hoc Cultural Diversity Committee and appointing members to the Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board desires to create an Ad Hoc Cultural Diversity Committee to plan the annual cultural diversity seminar and develop other educational events and materials to foster an understanding of the numerous cultures, races, religions and beliefs in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the committee may solicit the input of community members to assist the committee in its work; and
WHEREAS, Committee discussion and recommendations must comply with the Lake County Board's Ethics Ordinance, Lake County Employment and Procurement Policies and other applicable laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an Ad Hoc Cultural Diversity Committee be created.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following members be appointed:
Mary Ross Cunningham, Chair
Audrey Nixon, Vice Chair
Carol Calabresa - Board Member
Ann Maine - Board Member
Craig Taylor - Board Member
Jennifer Witherspoon - Citizen member
Rosa Prosen - Citizen member
