· Stormwater Detention Basin Retrofit Project - Phase I: Appropriation
· A Phase I study to inspect, evaluate and recommend enhancements to forty-four (44) existing LCDOT stormwater detention basins to improve stormwater management and water quality treatment.
· The professional engineering services for Phase I will be undertaken by the SMC pursuant to an agreement with the LCDOT.
· This resolution appropriates $30,000 of Matching Tax Funds for these services.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County Division of Transportation proposes to convert certain dry detention basins to wet detention basins to improve stormwater management and water quality treatment; and
WHEREAS, there exist forty four (44) detention basins proposed for a Phase I study to inspect, evaluate and recommend enhancements; and
WHEREAS, there exists a “Memorandum of Understanding between the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) and the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission (SMC) for Professional Services, dated June 3, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the SMC can provide the desired professional engineering services for the said Phase I study to inspect, evaluate and recommend enhancements to the existing forty four (44) detention basins, a draft copy of said proposal is attached hereto.
