WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to the Lake County Workforce Development Department in the amount of $152,727; and
WHEREAS, the grant is for the fiscal year July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011, for training for dislocated workers; and
WHEREAS, this funding is expected to provide training opportunities for dislocated workers; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $152,727 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $152,727 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the 1GS Training for Dislocated Workers Grant is hereby accepted. A chart of accounts is attached.
