Resolution authorizing a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the Lake County Board, Lake County Health Department Board, and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150, Health Department Maintenance Unit.
Staff Summary
• This is a four-year agreement beginning on December 1, 2022 and lasting through November 30, 2026 and covers 8 total positions in the Health Department Maintenance Division.
• Wage Settlement as follows:
o Effective December 1, 2022: 3.25% across the board increase
o Effective December 1, 2023: 4% across the board increase
o Effective December 1, 2024: 3.5% across the board increase with additional equity adjustment of 3% or 4% depending on position.
o Effective December 1, 2025: same as non-represented employees of the County with a minimum increase of 2.5%. Additional equity adjustment of 1%.
• The County agrees to continue employee medical and dental insurance through the Midwest Operating Engineers Fund at no cost to the employee.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 has been recognized as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for employees in the Lake County Health Department Maintenance Unit; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached a tentative agreement on a successor contract; and
WHEREAS, the County Board holds final approval to ratify the terms of the tentative agreement reached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this the County Board of Lake County, that the Madam Chair of the Board is hereby authorized to sign the Collective Bargaining Agreement attached hereto and make a part of this Resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Agreement shall be effective from December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2026 consistent with the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act 5ILCS 315/21.
