WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Purchasing Ordinance of Lake County, IL bids were called for by publication for a Sign Shop Printer for the Division of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, Invitations to Bid were extended to seven vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from four (4) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on Friday, February 27, 2009, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Chicago Sign Outlet Store, Lisle, IL is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $31,516.80; other bids were received from Rayco, Chicago, IL, $32,065, Midwest Sign and Screen, Franklin, WI, $32,750, and Metrokonnect, LLC., Naperville, IL, $40,047.27.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with the Sign Outlet Store, Lisle, IL in the amount of $31,516.80 for the purchase of a Roland Soljet Pro III Sign Shop Printer for the Division of Transportation, charging the cost thereof to account 214-4300030-84030-000-000-000-00000; and request its adoption.
