Staff Summary
• The County’s architects, Plunkett-Raysich Architects (PRA), have been retained by the County to prepare the necessary drawings and documents for the new Winchester House skilled nursing facility.
• PRA is nearing the end of the first phase of the drawings (schematic design) for the new Winchester House.
• PRA has been working with staff and the Winchester House Advisory Board (Advisory Board) to develop the schematic design. The final draft of the schematic design was presented to the Advisory Board at its March meeting.
• The Advisory Board has adopted a resolution recommending that the Health and Community Services Committee and the County Board continue with the process to build a new Winchester House based on the schematic design.
• PRA will present the details of the schematic design to the Health and Community Services Committee.
