The Sheriff’s Office has identified annual savings of $156,352.71 by consolidating two contracts for law enforcement in-car cameras and one contract for jail transport in-car cameras.
Consolidating these contracts will result in greater contract management efficiency, substantial cost savings, and a refresh of new equipment.
The initial annual cost is $423,465.19 and the annual cost for years two through five will be $423,465.21.
Pursuant to Article 33.115 Cooperative Joint Purchasing of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Sheriff’s Office has identified a cooperative purchasing agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc. through Sourcewell (101223-AXN).
The consolidated contract includes all hardware, software, staff training, and warranty.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has identified cost savings by consolidating all the law enforcement and jail transport in-car cameras; and
WHEREAS, consolidating these contracts will result in greater contract management efficiency, substantial cost savings of $156,352.71 per year, and a refresh of new equipment; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 33.115 Cooperative Joint Purchasing of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Sheriff’s Office has identified a cooperative purchasing agreement through Sourcewell; and
WHEREAS, all hardware, software, staff training, equipment refresh, and warranties are included in the consolidated cooperative agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc., Scottsdale, Arizona, in the initial annual amount of $423,465.19 and a five-year total of $2,117,326.03 for all Lake County Sher...
