RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the traveling public if the intersection of Illinois Route 131 and Washington Street could be improved; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for the above referenced improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and hereby directed to execute an agreement, and any amendments, for the improvement at the intersection of Illinois Route 131 and Washington Street; and designated as Section 23-00220-08-TL; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement, and any subsequent amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk, and grant plan and specification approval to Illinois Department of Transportation; and...
