Resolution recognizing the contributions of Robert Sabonjian upon the completion of his service as a Member of the Lake County Board.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Robert Sabonjian has served as a Member of the Lake County Board, representing District 8, from December 1998 until May 2009; and
WHEREAS, Bob Sabonjian has brought his experience and his knowledge of and interest in local government to bear on a variety of Committees and activities while serving on the County Board; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of these abilities, Bob Sabonjian was selected to serve as Chair of the Community and Economic Development Committee from 2002 - 2004; and
WHEREAS, Bob Sabonjian was a strong supporter of community development and affordable housing initiatives and in particular, advocating for the County’s affordable housing programs; and
WHEREAS, during his service on the Lake County Board, Bob Sabonjian has also served as a member of the following committees: Community and Economic Development; Taxation, Election and Records; Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs; Health and Human Services; Financial and Administrative; Planning, Building and Zoning; Health and Community Services; Revenue, Records and Legislation; and
WHEREAS, Bob Sabonjian also served as a Member of the Community Development Commission, Public Building Commission, and as an Alternate Member of the Stormwater Management Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that we do hereby recognize and commend Bob Sabonjian for his record of public service as a Member of the Lake County Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we are indeed fortunate and honored to have known and worked with such an outstanding citizen and public servant; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lake County Board does hereby extend its congratulations and best wishes to Bob Sabonjian on his election as the Mayor of the City of Waukegan, and we do hereby offer,...
