As defined in the Governing Council bylaws, one of the responsibilities assigned to the Council is the approval of adding/changing/removing service types and service delivery methods for the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) Federally Qualified Health Center. LCHD/CHC provided asthma/allergy specialty care to patients through volunteer Physician Kathy Sonenthal, M.D. Dr. Sonenthal retired from LCHD/CHC as of February 1, 2026.
