Resolution amending the Winchester House Advisory Board By-laws.
Staff Summary
· On May 12, 2009, the County Board adopted a resolution establishing the by-laws for the Winchester House Advisory Board.
· The adopted resolution requires the Winchester House Advisory Board to periodically review the by-laws and recommend necessary amendments.
· At its January 24 meeting, the Winchester House Advisory Board recommended increasing the size of the Board from seven to nine and allowing the vice-chair of the Health and Community Services Committee (HCS) to serve as an alternate for the HCS chair.
· Other recommended changes were minor clarifications.
Body
WHEREAS, the County Board of Lake County on September 11, 2007 adopted a resolution which, among other things, created a Winchester House Advisory Board (Advisory Board) and directed that the Advisory Board develop by-laws; and
WHEREAS, the by-laws detail the duties of the Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, on May 12, 2009 the County Board of Lake County adopted the by-laws for the Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the May 12, 2009 adopting resolution, the Advisory Board has reviewed and now recommends modifications to the by-laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Advisory Board By-Laws as attached hereto are hereby adopted for use by the Advisory Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by this County Board that the Advisory Board shall from time-to-time review the By-Laws as adopted herewith and recommend any amendments deemed necessary to continue to effectively carryout the mission of the Advisory Board.
