RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office has been awarded a State Fiscal Year 2025 Grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services Violence Prevention Services, for the time period of July 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024, in the amount of $37,683; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office will use this funding to further continue its Gun Violence Prevention Initiative through the hiring and supplying of a Violence Prevention Council Coordinator Program Coordinator (existing position within SAO headcount); and

WHEREAS, the Greater Illinois - Reimagine Public Safety Act (GI-RPSA) grant is in the amount of $37,683 and it is necessary to appropriate this amount; and
