Staff update regarding the Lake County Affordable Housing Program (Information only).

Staff Summary

•                     On October 6th Staff re-presented the LCAHP Program Criteria to HCS members regarding possible suggested revisions to the Program Criteria.

•                     Committee direction was provided to staff regarding proposed changes.

•                     Staff proceeded with the appropriate changes to the Program Criteria, Application forms, and the Letter of Intent, which are currently available on the County’s website.  Accordingly, notifications for funding availability have been sent out to solicit affordable housing applications that are due November 30^th.

•                     Staff will present an initial application overview at the next HCS Committee meeting regarding the $751,000 that is available to fund.

•                     At the present time, the anticipated review and presentation schedule allows for Committee presentations February 2010 and County Board approval March 16, 2010.
