· 2012 and 2013 Microsurfacing of Wadsworth Road and Kilbourne Road: Contract Award.
· Microsurfacing is a new pavement preservation initiative.
· These resurfacing improvements have been identified within the County’s pavement management system and are included in the 2013 program.
· Wadsworth Road, from the eastern approach of the I-94 Bridge to the western approach of the Des Plaines River Bridge, and Kilbourne Road, from Wadsworth Road to Illinois Route 173,have been selected for this new pavement preservation initiative.
· A total of three bids were received, ranging from $343,225.08 to $497,097.04, and the lowest responsible bidder is Microsurfacing Contractors, LLC, St. Louis, Missouri, in the amount of $343,225.08.
· This resolution authorizes execution of the contract.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the microsurfacing of Wadsworth Road and Kilbourne Road, and designated as Section 13-00999-43-RS; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on March 19, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:
