RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County Board approved an Ordinance Authorizing the Dissolution of the Slocum Lake Drainage District at their meeting on November 12, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Authorizing Ordinance set forth final steps in the formal dissolution of the District and provided for the appointment of a Trustee-in-Dissolution; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 55 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes §5/5-44030 provides for the powers and duties of the Trustee-in-Dissolution to present a plan for the consolidation and dissolution of the unit of local government to the County Board for its approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Report of the Trustee-In-Dissolution of the Slocum Lake Drainage District be approved and filed for final dissolution in the Circuit Court of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois.
