·      In 2008 the County awarded a $100,000 brownfield grant to the City of Waukegan for environmental cleanup activities at the former harbor slip three.

·      Grant extensions were authorized in 2009 and 2010.

·      A requirement of the 2010 extension was for the City of Waukegan to provide the Health and Community Services Committee with a status of the funded project.

·      The 2010 extension expires on November 16, 2011.
