Staff Summary
* On February 6, 2015, Public Works authorized a professional services contract in the amount of $44,516 with RHMG Engineers, Inc., Mundelein, Illinois, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act.
* The scope of work under this contract included design, bidding, and construction services for the reservoir improvements and a second set of bidding documents for the abandonment of well number seven for the Bridlewood Reservoir Improvements Project.
* A contract modification for additional services is required as a result of direction received during a variance hearing with the Lake County Zoning Board of Appeals for site revisions to CLCJAWA proposed improvements for the Lake Michigan Water Project, and the abandonment of well number six.
* This resolution ratifies the existing contract with RHMG Engineers, Inc., Mundelein, Illinois, in the amount of $44,516 and approves the contract modification of $13,896 to increase the existing contract to a not to exceed amount of $58,412.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains the Bridlewood Reservoir in Grandwood Park; and

WHEREAS, the Bridlewood Reservoir is in need of upgrades in preparation of Lake Michigan water delivery; and

WHEREAS, due to the specialized nature of this project, the County requires design services from an engineering firm qualified in this type of engineering; and

WHEREAS, as part of the design for the project, Public Works authorized a professional services contract in the amount of $44,516 with RHMG Engineers, Inc., Mundelein, Illinois in accordance with Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.); and
