RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County Community Development has received an Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); and
WHEREAS, the grant funding from FEMA for administration of ESP Phase 41 services address housing instability and food insecurity for Lake County residents; and
WHEREAS, this grant amount totaling $8,002 has not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the FY 2024 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation was to be offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $8,002 is hereby authorized in the Community Development budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Lake County Board or their
designee is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents to receive $8,002 of EFSP funds to administer the program.
