Joint resolution appropriating $1,100,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the maintenance of the traffic control signals from December 1, 2009 to December 30, 2010 and designated as Section 10-00000-01-GM.

 

Staff Summary

                     2010 Motor Fuel Tax fund: Patrol I Appropriation.

                     Patrol I are those maintenance activities paid out of the Motor Fuel Tax fund including the maintenance of the county traffic control signals and equipment.

                     Funds must be appropriated prior to a letting being held.

Body

 

WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation maintains 150 traffic control signal installations with interconnect; and

 

WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation needs to acquire contract maintenance services for these traffic control signal installations; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to acquire necessary contract maintenance services an appropriation of funds is required for each fiscal year.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County that there is hereby appropriated $1,100,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for fiscal year 2010 contract maintenance services needed to maintain the traffic control signal installations with interconnect and designated as Section10-00000-01-GM.
