Ordinance requesting the conveyance of parcels of land for right-of-way and easements from the Round Lake Area Park District and authorizing an agreement with the Round Lake Area Park District for improvements along Hainesville Road, from Washington Street to Rollins Road, including the expansion and maintenance of detention ponds on the Renwood Golf Course.
Staff Summary
* Hainesville Road, from Washington Street to Rollins Road, will be improved by adding a center turn lane, shared-use path, sidewalk and drainage improvements, including the expansion of two existing detention ponds on Renwood Golf Course.
* The County needs right-of-way and easements from Round Lake Area Park District to construct these improvements.
* The County agrees to perform the detention pond work in advance of the roadway improvements and between October 1st and April 1st to minimize impacts to the golf course operations.
* The Round Lake Area Park District Board previously approved this agreement on June 13, 2024.
* These detention pond improvements are included in the Transportation Improvement Program, designated as Section 23-00072-15-DR, with construction planned to begin later this year, and the roadway improvements are included in the Transportation Improvement Program, designated as Section 19-00072-14-WR, with construction planned to begin in 2026.
