RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County became a member of the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network through a County Board resolution on March 17, 2009: and
WHEREAS, IPWMAN allows for collaborative response efforts with more resources to help communities recover faster, more efficiently, and return to a normal state quicker after disasters; and
WHEREAS, during a disaster, public works equipment and manpower will be limited and mutual aid will greatly assist in services needed for quick response and recovery; and
WHEREAS, IPWMAN has updated the language of their member agreements; and
WHEREAS, a nominal annual membership fee is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Lake County is authorized to enter into a mutual aid agreement with the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network.
