WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Purchasing Ordinance of Lake County, IL bids were called for by publication for Interior and Exterior Improvements to the Coroner Offices; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations for bids were extended to eight (8) vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from eight (8) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on Monday, August 21, 2008, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Boller Construction Co., Inc, Waukegan, IL is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $ 94,600.00; other bids were received from Happ Builders, Waukegan, IL, $ 98,400.00, Car-Min Construction Co., Waukegan, IL $ 109,300.00, Rasch Construction & Engineering, Kenosha, WI, $ 116,850.00, Stuckey Construction Co., Waukegan, IL $ 120,000.00, Construction Solutions of Illinois, Inc., Alsip, IL $ 120,723.00, Chicagoland Building Contractors, Addison, IL, $ 124,975.00 and R. Rudnick & Co., Wheeling, IL $ 162,944.00.
