· Bridge Painting at Five Locations: Appropriation.
· The bridges at Russell Road over the Des Plaines River, Lewis Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at Salem Boulevard, Robert McClory Bike Path over Wadsworth Road, Pulaski Drive over US Route 41 and Skokie Valley Bike Path over Illinois Rte 22 are in need of cleaning and painting.
· This improvement is included in the 2011 program.
· Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $275,000 of County Bridge Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Russell Road, County Highway 19, Lewis Avenue, County Highway 27, and Pulaski Drive, County Highway 78, are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Robert McClory Bike Path and Skokie Valley Bike Path are part of the county bike path system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public and the users of the county bike path system if the bridges at Russell Road over the Des Plaines River, Lewis Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at Salem Boulevard, Robert McClory Bike Path over Wadsworth Road, Pulaski Drive over US Route 41 and Skokie Valley Bike Path over Illinois Rte 22 could be cleaned and painted; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $275,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for the cleaning and painting of the bridges at Russell Road over the Des Plaines River, Lewis Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at Salem Boulevard, Robert McClory Bike Path over Wadsworth Road, Pulaski Drive over U...
