• This is a four-year agreement beginning on December 1, 2025 through November 30, 2029 and covers 12 positions in the Coroner’s Office.
• Highlights of the settlement include wage increases on 12/1/2025: 3%; 12/1/2026: 2.75%; 12/1/2027: 2.5%; and 12/1/2028: 2.5%; as well as grade adjustments for two positions, the Forensic Technician and the Administrative Assistant II.
• The additional cost of the base wages in the first year of the contract is approximately $25,000.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, AFSCME Council 31 has been recognized as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for employees in the Lake County Coroner’s Office; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached a tentative agreement on a successor contract; and
WHEREAS, the County Board holds the final approval to ratify the terms of the tentative agreement reached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this the County Board of Lake County, that the Chair of the Board is hereby authorized to sign the Collective Bargaining Agreement attached hereto and make a part of this Resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Agreement shall be effective from December 1, 2025 through November 30, 2029 consistent with the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, 5 ILCS 315/21.
