* The County of Lake owns three parcels of real property containing approximately 5.759 acres at 900 Kilbourne Road in Gurnee, Illinois.
* Funding from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) was used to acquire floodplain, flood damaged, real property, formerly known as the Gurnee Grade School, in 2013.
* The real property is subject to the restrictive covenants set forth herein Exhibit B.
* This Joint Resolution authorizes the transfer of ownership of the three parcels of real property containing approximately 5.759 acres.
* This Joint Resolution authorizes the Lake County Board Chair and the Lake County Clerk to execute the Quit Claim Deed, and any required closing document(s), necessary to complete the aforedescribed conveyance to the Gurnee Park District dedicated in perpetuity for open space public use and purposes.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County of Lake on behalf of the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission (SMC) entered into cooperative agreements with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), on August 26, 2013, and with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) on June 18, 2012, in which DCEO funds were used to acquire certain floodplain, flood damaged, real property, by the County of Lake, subject to certain perpetual conditions and restrictions; and
WHEREAS, the County of Lake has acquired, with financial assistance from DCEO, certain real property located in Gurnee in Lake County, described in Exhibit A, as a part of the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Ike Property Buyouts Program, and the ...
