RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice has awarded the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court $5,000 through the Access to Justice Improvement Grant for the grant period of September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the funds are to support the Court’s designated Project Lead for upgrading resources and keeping staff updated through annualized specialized training; and
WHEREAS, the County Board must authorize an emergency appropriation of $5,000 to implement this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board authorizes an emergency appropriation with offsetting revenue in the amount of $5,000 to support the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court’s Access to Justice Improvement Grant for the grant period of September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027.
