· In order to accommodate the reconstruction and maintenance of the roadway crossing along the Midlothian Road extension, an agreement is needed.
· This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement with Wisconsin Central Ltd.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Midlothian Road (County Highway 48) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Midlothian Road will be extended northerly from the existing Lake County fairground entrance to Moorehead Circle; and
WHEREAS, said extension improvement will cross the existing railroad grade crossing of Harris Road at the railroad tracks of the Wisconsin Central Ltd. (Canadian National RR), and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic across at said grade crossing for the extension of Midlothian Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the county as a whole and to the Wisconsin Central Ltd.; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Wisconsin Central Ltd., Homewood, Illinois, are desirous of entering into an agreement providing the terms and conditions for the construction and maintenance of the roadway crossing along the extension of Midlothian Road, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
