Staff Summary
· In October, 2008, the Lake County Board approved and accepted the 2008 COPS Grant to implement key Sentencing Order exchanges consist of Court Supervision, Felony, Misdemeanor, and Probation and Information exchanges consisting of Bench Warrant, Warrant Quash, Remand, Release, Felony Review Report, Search Warrant, Summons, Subpoena, Work Release Violation, Court Date, and Offender Release.
· Lake County has a long standing and successful relationship with URL Integration who has provided professional services for the integration of justice agencies.
· The Purchasing Agent previously convened an ad hoc group that approved bid exemption on the basis of the long standing, successful relationship. The knowledge gained through this relationship adds value integral to the services provided.
· This authorizes a contract with URL Integration to expend the COPS Grant funds on components of the Integrated Justice project in an amount not to exceed $448,943.55.

WHEREAS, in August, 2008 the Lake County Board approved an agreement with URL Integration, Colorado Springs, CO to Implement key Court document exchanges for Integrated Justice; and

WHEREAS, at that time, staff was awaiting receipt and approval of the 2008 Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Grant to fund implementation of key Sentencing Order exchanges that originate from the Court and enhancement of key Information exchanges to and from the Sheriff’s Office; and

WHEREAS, in October, 2008, Lake County Board approved and accepted the 2008 COPS Grant; and
