Resolution authorizing the creation of a Special Revenue Fund for Lake County Special Service Area 18 for the Del Mar Woods Subdivision, to be known as Fund 292 Special Service Area #18 – Del Mar Woods.
Staff Summary
The Lake County Special Service Area (SSA) 18 is being created to replace the functions of the dormant Del Mar Woods Sanitary District.
The Lake County Department of Public Works has expertise in the area of sanitary sewer operations and maintenance and the funds from SSA 18 will be utilized by the Lake County Department of Public Works for various requirements associated with the sanitary sewer infrastructure located within Del Mar Woods Subdivision.
SSA 18 also has the ability to provide for future maintenance of stormwater infrastructure within the Del Mar Woods Subdivision, if necessary.
Subject to the approval of the establishing ordinance of SSA 18 by the Lake County Board, the Special Revenue Fund will hold the tax proceeds from SSA 18 and the Board will set an annual levy on the properties listed within the Ordinance.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Special Service Area (SSA) 18 is being created to replace the functions of the dormant Del Mar Woods Sanitary District; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Department of Public Works has expertise in the area of sanitary sewer operations and maintenance and the funds from SSA 18 will be utilized by the Lake County Department of Public Works for various requirements associated with the sanitary sewer infrastructure located within the Del Mar Woods Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, future maintenance of stormwater infrastructure within the Del Mar Woods Subdivision may also be provided by SSA 18, if necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that a new Special Revenue Fund, known as Special Service Area #18 – Del Mar Woods, Fund 292, will hold the tax proceeds and account for the proceeds of SSA 18.
