R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation, is interconnecting various traffic signal system systems throughout Lake County as part of its PASSAGE program; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Transportation is in the process of interconnecting traffic signals along Rollins Road and within the Village of Fox Lake; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide interconnection between US Rte. 12 and Rollins Road at Grand Avenue near Nippersink Boulevard in the Village of Fox Lake, an easement along the Metra Milwaukee District North Line right-of-way is required; and
WHEREAS, Metra and Lake County desire to enter into an agreement stating the terms and conditions by which Metra will grant to Lake County a 5 foot by 200 foot easement along Metra’s Milwaukee District North Line right-of-way for the purposes of installing traffic cable system interconnection, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement between Metra and Lake County providing the terms and conditions by which Metra wi...
