Resolution amending the Community Development Commission (CDC) By-laws.

Staff Summary

·      The CDC by-laws are periodically reviewed and amended based on recommendations from the CDC.

·      At its January meeting, the CDC recommended three changes; one allows for two Commissioners to reside in the same municipality, another provides for alternates to be appointed by the County Board Chair, and the third reduces the third reduces the timeframe (from 7 days to 2 days) required of Commission members when unable to attend a meeting.

Body

WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission (CDC) by-laws detail the composition and duties of the CDC; and

WHEREAS, the CDC has reviewed and recommended the approval of changes to the by-laws consisting of commissioner residency requirements and designation of alternates.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the CDC By-Laws as amended, attached hereto, are hereby adopted for use by the CDC.
