RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has awarded a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Apprenticeship Expansion Grant modification in the amount of $35,000, increasing the total grant to $310,000 for the Workforce Development Department with a grant term of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Apprenticeship Expansion Grant funds personnel expenses, regional work and employer stipends and the additional funds will support regional work including a regional workforce apprenticeship convening.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $35,000 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Apprenticeship Expansion Grant modification be accepted.
