RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has awarded a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Career Planner Training Academy Grant totaling $119,123.05 to the Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds personnel costs for a lead trainer, a project manager, and travel expenses to deliver training throughout the region; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Career Planner Training Academy Grant has a grant life of October 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the WIOA Career Planner Training Academy Grant is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency appropriation is hereby approved in the amount of $119,123.05.
