Staff Summary

•                     Funding for the intergovernmental agreement is included in Grant Agreement No. 24-413046 between Lake County and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) that was executed December 15, 2024.

•                     These projects were authorized by SMC for inclusion in DCEO-STOCIP Regional Stormwater Infrastructure Project Round 2 on September 5, 2024.

•                     The intergovernmental agreement will provide funding, on a reimbursement basis, to the City of North Chicago in amounts not-to-exceed $2,750,000.00 for the Lewis Avenue Detention Basin Project-Phase 1 and not-to-exceed $2,750,000.00 for the Lewis Avenue Detention Basin Project-Phase 2.

•                     The City of North Chicago will pay a Project Expense Match to SMC of $156,254.00 for administrative and engineering expenses related to the projects.
