Joint resolution authorizing the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer to execute an agreement between Lake County and the Village of Mundelein for the relocation of the Village’s watermain as part of the federally funded County improvements to the intersection of Winchester Road (County Highway 69) and Midlothian Road (County Highway 48) and designated as section 02-00170-09-CH.

· The county has been allocated federal funds to improve this intersection by widening, resurfacing and the installation of permanent traffic control signals.
· The Village of Mundelein watermain needs to be relocated to accommodate this improvement and the relocation is eligible for federal reimbursement.
· This is a joint agreement with Mundelein providing for their participation in these costs.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Winchester Road (County Highway 69) and Midlothian Road (County Highway 48) are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide for the free flow of traffic and ensure the safety of the motoring public Lake County is in the process of improving the intersection Winchester Road at Midlothian Road by widening and resurfacing and the installation of permanent traffic control signals; and
WHEREAS, federal highway funds are being utilized to partially fund said improvements to the intersection Winchester Road at Midlothian Road ; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate said improvements to the intersection of Winchester Road at Midlothian Road it is necessary to relocate a watermain owned and maintained by the Village of Mundelein; and
WHEREAS, said water main relocation is also eligible for partial reimbursement by federal highway funds; and
