RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Board of Lake County, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the resurfacing of Grass Lake Road (County Highway 14) beginning at State Park Road (County Highway 10) and ending at the Grass Lake Bridge and State Park Road beginning at Lubliner Terr. and ending at US Rte 12 and designated as Section 08-00999-03-RS; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on January 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:
Peter Baker & Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois - $2,173,034.19
Curran Contracting Company, Crystal Lake, Illinois - $2,393,666.37
Payne & Dolan, Inc., Antioch, Illinois - $2,405,931.46
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Peter Baker & Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois, their bid being $2,173,034.19 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
