RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has awarded a WIOA Apprenticeship grant totaling $159,476.29 to the Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Apprenticeship grant funds personnel, pre-apprenticeship programs and employer stipends; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Apprenticeship Grant has a grant term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the WIOA Apprenticeship Grant is hereby accepted and an emergency appropriation in the amount of $159,476.29 for the Lake County Workforce Development Department is hereby authorized in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget as detailed in the attachment.
